old buildings

I love old buildings...there's something about the craftmanship that resonates in me. Whether it's the detailed gargoyles on ancient churches, or the visual interplay of structural members as shown in this building, it all puts me in awe of one of man's greatest gifts - the ability to create.

When He endowed us with this gift, God gave us both the ability to rejoice with Him and spurn Him as our heart leads us. My son and daughter delight in showing me the things they've created in blocks, paint, crayons, chalk - really any medium they can think of. With that same creative spark, we humans envision the machines of genocide and politics.

I want to be the one running to Him saying, "Look what I made! Ain't it cool?"
